Daniel Lynch

Executive Chairman
Brings more than 20 years of experience serving in management positions in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries. Mr. Lynch spent nearly five years at ImClone Systems, serving as Chief Executive Officer and Chief Financial Officer. As CEO, Mr. Lynch led ImClone through a significant turnaround, helping to restore the company's reputation and to secure FDA approval of ERBITUX® (Cetuximab), a novel cancer treatment. As CFO, Mr. Lynch led negotiations to form the major partnership between ImClone and Bristol-Myers Squibb. Earlier in his career, Mr. Lynch served in various financial positions at Bristol-Myers Squibb over a 15 year tenure. He is currently a director of several drug development companies including Ivrea Pharmaceuticals, Stromedix, and U.S. Oncology.

Michael F. Bigham has been a partner at Abingworth Management since 2002. He brings with him 14 years of operational experience and 6 years investment banking experience in life science companies. He was formerly Vice Chairman of Corixa and was President and Chief Executive of Coulter Pharmaceuticals from July 1996 until it merged into Corixa in December 2000. Previously, he was an early employee at Gilead Sciences where he spent eight years serving in various capacities, including Executive Vice President of Operations and CFO. Before joining Gilead, Mr. Bigham was a partner at Hambrecht & Quist where he became Co-Head of Healthcare Investment Banking. Mr. Bigham is responsible for Abingworth's Boston office and focuses on East Coast investments.

Bruce Booth, D. Phil., a Partner with Atlas Venture. Dr. Booth focuses on new and emerging companies developing novel biopharmaceutical products, therapeutic platforms and innovative biomedical technologies. Previously, Dr. Booth was with Caxton Health Holdings, a healthcare-focused investment firm, and McKinsey & Company, where he advised clients on corporate issues across the biopharmaceutical sector. Prior to graduate studies at Oxford University, he worked on President Clinton¹s Domestic Policy Council in the National Office of AIDS Policy. He currently serves as a Board Trustee of the New York Academy of Medicine, Board Director of the Center for Medicine in the Public Interest, and is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations.

Roy Lobb, D.Phil., is a co-founder of Avila Therapeutics, Inc., and was most recently an advisor to Abingworth Management. Dr. Lobb's career includes a successful tenure at Biogen, which he joined in 1987 and where he and his team were the first to identify a drug to inhibit the VLA-4 leukocyte adhesion pathway. Prior to joining Biogen, Dr. Lobb held a number of academic positions at Harvard Medical School. Dr. Lobb has consulted for a number of life science companies including Alnylam Pharmaceuticals and remains a consultant for Biogen Idec.

Amir Nashat, Ph.D., is a general partner in the Boston office of Polaris Venture Partners. Dr. Nashat joined Polaris in April 2002 and focuses on investments in the life sciences. Prior to joining Polaris, Dr. Nashat completed his Ph.D. as a Hertz Fellow in Chemical Engineering at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology with a minor in Biology. Dr. Nashat currently represents Polaris as a Director of numerous life sciences companies in the Polaris portfolio, as well as serves on the Board of the New England Venture Capital Association.

Raj Parekh, D.Phil., joined Advent Venture Partners as a general partner in January 2006. He brings over 20 years of experience in the Life Science Industry as an entrepreneur and investor. In 1988 he co-founded Oxford GlycoSciences, an Advent-backed company that was one of Europe's most successful biotechnology companies listed on the LSE and NASDAQ. Dr. Parekh has been a Visiting Professor in Biochemistry at Oxford University.

Vicki L. Sato, Ph.D., is Professor of Management Practice at Harvard Business School; Professor of the Practice, Molecular and Cell Biology, Harvard University; and a business advisor to Atlas Ventures and other enterprises in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries. Dr. Sato retired from Vertex Pharmaceuticals in May, 2005, where she served as President since 2000, and prior to becoming President, she was Chief Scientific Officer, Senior Vice President of Research and Development.

Henry Skinner, Ph.D., is a Managing Director of the Novartis Option Fund. Prior to the Novartis Venture Funds he worked as Executive Director and Global Head, Strategic Alliances at the Novartis Institutes for Biomedical Research where he led a team responsible for identification, negotiation and management of collaborations and licenses for Novartis. Prior to joining Novartis, Dr. Skinner was CEO of SelectX Pharmaceuticals, and President and CEO of NeoGenesis Pharmaceuticals, which was acquired by Schering-Plough. Dr. Skinner previously played key roles in business development and licensing with Pharmacia and Lexicon Genetics.
